Services
The Mulherin Home provides:Twenty-four hour residential care to the 34 residents entrusted to our care. With a dedicated staff of 23, each individual Resident is personally cared for, at the level they need, most requiring total care. Residents in most cases need total assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming and feeding.
Residents receive nutritionally balanced meals meeting specific individual dietary and eating needs. Our dedicated dietary staff prepares all meals in house. A registered Dietician Consultant oversees the preparation of all menus and has regular in-service training for all staff.
Our Registered Nurse on staff provides medical care and treatments, and administers medications. Our staff takes Residents to their medical appointments and maintains medical documentation and patient well care. Our Regular Staff serves by promoting wellness, health and safety and provides daily loving patient care.
Residents attend schools through the public school system or day programs at Mobile Association for Retarded Citizens where they receive special education or training and services.
Transportation services are provided to Residents day programs, medical visits and all social and recreation activities.
Laundry services are available to all Residents in house.
