Mulherin Home

Welcome to Mulherin Home! Our primary purpose is to provide a home for individuals with developmental disabilities in a loving and family environment. Our foremost concern is the happiness, comfort, and welfare of the residents at Mulherin Home.

Mulherin Home is a 501(C)3 dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities. Mulherin Home can be a home to 34 individuals at a time. All of our residents live with us full-time. We provide all residents nutritious (and delicious!) meals, routine medical care, transportation to and from medical appointments, day programs, job commitments, activities, etc. Because many of our residents have grown up in the Home, we are one big happy family and operate as such!

We love the Mobile Chapter of APSO! ...

Members from our 2015 and 2016 Board, State Board Officers and a few of our local managers have enjoyed a great two days in Montgomery at the 2016 APSO Convention. It is with great honor that I announce our Mobile Chapter was awarded the Membership award today for the largest increase in membership in 2015 of all 10 Chapters in Alabama. We are so thankful for all our outstanding members and volunteer participation for 2015 and look forward to an even greater year this year as we continue to grow. Congratulations to our 2015 Volunteer of the Year, Doug Buford; our 2015 Spirit Award of the Year, Dena Pigg; and our 2015 Non-Profit of the Year: The Mulherin Home. #2016APSOConvention #PowerOfYou #25thAnniversary #MobileChapter
