The Mulherin Home provides:
Twenty-four hour residential care to the 34 residents entrusted to our care. With a dedicated staff of 37, each individual resident is personally cared for, at the level they need, some requiring total care. Residents in some cases need total assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming and eating.
Residents receive nutritionally balanced meals meeting specific individual dietary and eating needs. Our dedicated dietary staff prepares all meals in house. A registered Dietitian Consultant oversees the preparation of all menus and has regular in-service training for staff.
Our Registered Nurse and LPN on staff provide medical care and treatments, and oversee the administration of medications. Our staff takes residents to their medical appointments and maintains medical documentation and patient well care. Our Caregivers serve by promoting wellness, health and safety and provides daily loving resident care.
Residents attend day programs at Mobile Arc, Goodwill Easter Seals, and United Cerebral Palsy of Mobile where they receive training and services.
Transportation services are provided to residents’ day programs, medical visits and all social and recreational activities.
